Back in the mid 1990s I attempted to film a feature-length gothic horror/comedy movie, titled: To Hell with Dracula. It was a highly-ambitious and very expensive project that quickly went off the rails when I ran out of money to fund this monstrous undertaking which would have required numerous period costumes and sets, several practical special effects, and a large cast of characters actors. It was a delusional fever dream that haunted me when the entire project went quickly down the toilet with only a few full scenes shot and a tiny portion of the film score composed. In hindsight, it was a fool's errand from jump street, yet I still have fond memories of my insane attempts to achieve my lifelong dream of shooting a full-length, gothic horror film in the style of the British Hammer horror films starring Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee and Roger Corman's Poe cycle movies starring Vincent Price. The existing footage was funny when edited together and remains a nice record of what could have been a very weird and overly-ambitious, low budget horror/comedy.
We only ended up editing two scenes, but those scenes did meet my comedic expectations as far as creating something very surreal and slightly unhinged. Should you wish to view those two scenes and one old comedy sketch, I now present them for your viewing pleasure:
